Gosh 2015 is flying by already!!! January started off with the SPFR January 8-10 in Philadelphia, MS. Peaches N Pie qualified me for the finals so she got the call to "finish what she started." I went into the finals sitting in 4th position. Peaches stayed consistent each night by running two times of 15.6 on Thursday and Friday nights and stepping it up to 15.4 on Saturday night. I really can't fault her anywhere on her runs other than she just does not prefer the footing at the Neshoba County Coliseum. I may rethink my mount for the 2015 SPFR.
The week after the SPFR we set out for a 10 day stay in Florida. During our stay I was entered at 3 PRCA/WPRA rodeos. We started our week off in Wauchula, FL. I was up in the slack Friday night after the performance. Peaches and I made our run around 12:30am. I left placing 2nd with a time of 15.34 after 83 girls had ran. We ended up placing 6th!!! Our next stop was Homestead, FL....MIAMI!!! Lets just say we were a little out of our element. The arena was 2 football fields long and seemed HUGE once we started our run from the side entrance. Our time was a little off the pace but a rodeo I will definitely enter again. After Homestead we headed to Okeechobee for a week of relaxation and what we considered a vacation. Peaches and Venetta enjoyed some turn out time in the sunshine. The weather was amazing and our RV spot was very quiet. Our week flew by and before we knew it we were loading up to head to Immokalee FL. I was again up in slack and had another side gate...this time on the left side. I decided to run from the gate to help out momentum get us around our 1st barrel. It worked but Peaches barely brushed it with her hip leaving it. She really loves the FL ground!!
2-6-15 Hauling partner, Bricklee, and I head for LA. First stop is our home for the night in Crowley LA. They just happen to be having a jackpot barrel race and we just have to enter. I had taken along AHH Mazing (Macy) for the weekend and she was entered in the jackpot. SHE WON IT!!! Bricklee takes 3rd!!
2-7-15 We leave Crowly and make the hour drive to Lake Charles for the 2pm performance at the SW FAT Stock Show & Rodeo. Peaches made one heck of a run of 14.95 but we were just short of placing...we needed a 14.81.
2-11-15 Jackson MS..........stay tuned
