As 2013 comes to a close I cannot wait for 2014. Every day I am blessed to be able to do what I love and do it for a living. I enjoy being able to be with my son and husband each day as we ride horses and do farm chores. I also enjoy that I can stay in my pajamas all day if I want :)
I had a few goals for 2013 and I have accomplished them all. First and foremost I wanted to fill my WPRA permit. I started this journey in 2011 and came within $62.98 in filling it in just a few rodeos. I purchased my permit again in 2012 but my gelding was injured so I concentrated more on the local rodeos than the WPRAs. In September of this year in Cherokee, NC during a Saturday performance Peaches and I placed 2nd to more than fill my permit. I was happy and relieved at the same time!!
As always I have learned a lot about my family, myself, and my horses this year.
